Bob and The Holy Grail

That would be the original Starbucks, here at Pike's Market. I had been here about 10 years ago, but could hardly visit Seattle without paying proper homage.

In case you don't believe them...

In a victory against corporate branding, this is the only Starbucks where you can buy merchandise with the original logo on it. If you carefully examine it, you will see visible breasts on the mermaid.

Pike's Market is not as touristy as one might fear. It actually has good produce and some not-so-trashy stalls with gifts of one sort or another.

The weather is gorgeous, as is the Sound. I can't tell whether Ranier is visible -- Seattle slopes down to the Sound in the opposite direction. But the view out toward the islands is very pretty.
