The lower part of a HO "mushroom" plan - this representing the UP, KCS, and BNSF in and around Beaumont, Texas.
A plan loosely based on the D&H north of Troy, NY. Mike wanted a double-track mainline and scenes where trains crossed over one another in opposite directions, so I invented an "old/steep" low line and a "new/easy" high line.
Extensive lower-level staging allows point-to-point and continuous running.

Lower level. The idea for this plan was to mount it overhead, allowing viewers to step up onto platforms to view and operate. Not sure whether it would work.
