Leaving Havre, Montana at 5:01 MT -- now 1:50 minutes late thanks to "waiting for freight traffic." It's been a relaxing day.

For your moment of Zen, this steamer is preserved near the Havre station. Closer examination will tell you that it is still decorated for Christmas, complete with wreath on the other side of the tender.

Most of Montana looks like this from the train. But it's a big state -- we climb into the Rockies shortly and I hope to see some of it before it gets dark.
