Mwaukee and Onward

That's how our conductor says it. Must be from Wisconsin. Here is a (so I'm told) famous clock tower in Milwaukee.

This is a very pretty state, at least when it isn't covered in snow, which is most of the time. My parents must have dragged us around the state a good bit during the 2-1/2 years we lived here. I remember a lot of the place names.

From Mwaukee we proceed to The-Land-Of-Many-Lakes-And-Syllables. This is Lake Pewaukee, which is near Lake Oconomowoc.

And this is the Rock River, which we cross three times. The Rock River runs through… wait for it… Janesville. Although we are quite a bit north of that storied locale.

Soo caboose on a siding.

Booking through Wisconsin. Only about 32 minutes late so far.
